Meet a few of our CRCP Students

While I earn my education, I am pursuing a career at UPS. I'm a student at Moraine Valley Community College now; I want to complete my bachelor's and begin my master's degree at Chicago State University. If you know how to properly manage time, the CRCP really works.

My supervisors and SRR recommended me for a supervisory position in March 2007. After a while I saw the door opening and the lights come on and I realized there are a whole bunch of areas to work in at UPS. At first when I was transferred to another area, I was reluctant, but then I realized it was an opportunity to be exposed to other people and other career paths. I really enjoy working here. It's like a family. We have a purpose. Every day you can learn something here.

I currently hold an Associate's degree in applied science from Robert Morris. I have two sons in college: one out of state, one at Chicago State University. I've worked in the hospitality industry, retail and spent 15 years in payroll/accounting.

I never expected anything or anyone to actually pay for college without owing a lot of money afterwards. It's great that my SRR, site directors, supervisors and management all understand the importance of education.
