Requirements
- Enroll at either Chicago State University, Governors State University, Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Olive Harvey College or Prairie State College.
- Work at the UPS Hodgkins, IL facility for an average of 3.5 to 5 hours per night,
Monday through Friday and be available during the following hours:
- Sunrise Shift (4:00am - 9:00am)
- Night Shift (10:00pm - 3:00am)
- Students must be at least 17 years of age by the start of the program.
- Students must have graduated from high school or have a GED
- Successfully complete 12 credit hours per academic year.
- Students must sign a Student Agreement each semester to receive benefits.
- Students must be employed at UPS at the time the benefits are granted.
- Remain a UPS employee as specified under their signed Student Agreement.
Additional requirements for each organization:
- UPS - Authorized to work in the United States
- Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Olive Harvey College and Prairie State College - each college has an open-door admissions policy
- Chicago State University (Incoming Freshmen)
- GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- A score of 18 on the ACT or 810 on the SAT
- Graduated from an accredited High School or received a GED certificate
- Governors State University
- Minimum GPAs: 2.0 for undergraduate and 3.0 for graduate students on a 4.0 scale

Employment
To be a part of the Chicagoland Regional College Program, you must be employed by
the UPS Chicago Area Consolidation Hub in Hodgkins, IL. You must be on the UPS payroll
by specified dates and remain on the payroll until the end of the student agreement
period.
All CRCP student employees will start as package handlers. In this job, you will
be loading (or unloading) packages from UPS trailers. During your shift, you will
be expected to load or unload parcels weighing up to a maximum of 70 pounds, with
an average weight of approximately 11 pounds. The shifts are between 3.5 and 5 hours
each day, although overtime may be required at times.
Based on job performance, CRCP students are eligible for consideration for promotion
to part-time supervisor.

Benefits
- CRCP will help pay for tuition, fees, and required books or software for credit hours
earned. The program also will pay for a graphic calculator for developmental math courses.
- An annual housing allowance of up to $4,000, or $333 per month.
